An embrace embodied the song,
A quietness that stilled the soul.
Grim faces stared all the way long,
Another encased in that hole.
So are tales of grief and sorrow,
The next one due on the morrow.
A distressed scream, a faint murmur,
Sirens wailing as the ailing-
Woman folds her hands in fervor,
As her husband strikes, not failing.
So are tales of countless abused,
Always mistreated and misused.
The child that's all ears on the room,
Fragile kid to horrors of old.
His whole upbringing on a loom,
Scarring memories to be told.
So are tales of fear and terror,
A path no human should ever-
This world may have its boo's and blues.
But, it also comes in all hues!
Kaboom, surprise, a new birthday.
Rejoice! Born is another soul.
Two adults 'come parents this day,
A family that is made whole.
So are the tales of elation,
The feelings and the sensations.
A letter, rose, and carnation,
Gifts of chocolates, smiles with hearts.
Some drawn to make the confession,
May the gods not hold them apart!
So are tales of those seeking-
Love in corners will be peeking.
Cheers and aromas fill the air,
Mother, father, brother, sister.
A roasted chicken for all to share,
Food shining in its own luster.
So are tales of a family.
May they live well and happily!
Away from daunting headlines. Hear!
May we be filled with hope for this year.
